

2 Sweet and Sour Chicken
Enjoy the mixed flavor of sweet and sour chicken
Product of Taikoo Sugar:
Taikoo Okinawa Black Sugar Powder
Ingredients:
Boneless chicken thighs (1 pc)
Onion (½ pc)
Green bell pepper (½ pc)
Sauce:
White vinegar (5 tbsp)
Water (5 tbsp)
Ketchup (3 tbsp)
Chicken powder (1 tsp)
Taikoo Okinawa Black Sugar Powder (3 ½ tbsp)
Marinade:
Chicken powder (1 tsp)
Salt (½ tsp)
Taikoo Okinawa Black Sugar Powder (½ tsp)
Cornstarch (1 tsp)
Directions:
- Cut chicken thighs into 12 pieces. Dice onion and bell pepper.
- Pour water and sauce ingredients into a pan. Cook over low heat until everything dissolves and thickens. Set aside.
- Marinate chicken thighs for 30 mins. Bath chicken thighs in egg yolk and then coat it with cornstarch.
- Deep fry chicken thighs until golden brown in medium heat. Drain off excess oil.
- Add onions and other ingredients into a pan and stir fry until fragrant. Add the sauce into the pan and pour in chicken pieces. Make sure the chicken pieces are coated with the sweet and sour sauce.
